YWAM Tokyo is committed to reaching Tokyo and the rest of Japan through training, evangelism and mercy ministry.

It is our desire to see God reveal the true destiny of the incredible Japanese people. We believe that God wants to release a generation of Japanese who know the deep affection that Jesus has for them, and who have discovered their purpose in Christ. We want to see Japan become a missionary sending nation.

As a YWAM base in Tokyo, we believe that a praying, worshipping international community is one of the important ingredients for seeing this come to pass. We believe that an increased urgency for prayer and a deep desire to be in God’s presence through worship are vital to carry more than mere words to this city.

We believe that worship, prayer and the arts need to be joined to communicate God’s heart to those who have lost a sense of beauty in their lives.

YWAM Tokyo is currently pioneering a new base. We have had smaller operating locations in and around Tokyo for more than 20 years, but are currently seeking to secure a building in the heart of the city.

日本のためのとりなしの祈り、そして賛美と礼拝を築き上げることが最も大切なことであると信じ、20年以上にわたってYWAM東京は活動してきました。現在は東久留米を拠点とし、北米、南米、ヨーロッパ各国から集まったメンバーが活動しています。


YWAM International
Youth With A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.

When YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was giving young people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members (known as "YWAMers") of almost every age. Many of our short-term efforts have grown into long-term endeavours that have impacted lives and nations.

YWAM has a decentralised structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel and care for those in need. We are currently operating in more than 1,000 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

Youth With A Mission (通称「ワイワム」)は、1960年に米国人ローレン・カニングハムによって創設された、超教派の国際的なキリスト教宣教団体です。マルコの福音書16:15にある大宣教命令を達成するために、世界中の若者を訓練し送り出すことをビジョンとして創設され、1978年には宣教を目的としたクリスチャン総合大学、ユニバーシティ・オブ・ザ・ネイションズ（UofN）も設立されました。日本での正式名称は宗教法人世界青年宣教会です。

YWAMは若者の訓練を主な召しとしているものの、世界各国で老若男女のメンバーが所属し、様々な活動に従事して働いています。現在は世界180カ国以上1000を超える拠点で、「神を知り、神を伝える」ことを目的として、総勢18,000人以上が活動しています。

モルモン教、エホバの証人、ものみの塔とは一切関係ありません。
