「あすのための心配は無用です。あすのことはあすが心配します。労苦はその日その日に、十分あります。」マタイの福音書

Throughout my teens, I started to learn about God through church and reading the Bible and at age 17, I became aware that I needed to make a decision. To give my all, or nothing, to what the Bible says. Something in me knew it was real. The lives of Jesus and His disciples - I wanted it! Most importantly, I believed from that point on, that Jesus Christ died for the sins of all people. There is no greater joy or peace than knowing this! God’s love is like no other. This truth invaded my heart and made it impossible to live a life expecting anything less than what the Bible says is true.

Over the years, I have realised that the most important thing as a Christian to do in life is to love people like Jesus does. I have a degree in computing, but God won’t let me settle with that! There are people all over the world who don’t know God’s love for them.

I have spent two and a half years in Tokyo as a missionary with YWAM, surrounded by people who desperately need to be set free from the worries of this world. I have seen people come to know God and their lives have been transformed by the deep joy that only comes from knowing Jesus Christ.

I want my life to be used by God to bring His love, joy, peace and hope to people wherever I go. And I want to encourage all Christians to want the same. I love the Church and believe whole communities and countries can be changed by the power of God through us. No place is too dark for Him!

「わたしが来たのは、羊がいのちを得、またそれを豊かに持つためです。」ヨハネの福音書

When I was little, my parents got saved in Hong Kong where we were living at the time. From there, Christianity entered my family, spreading even to my grandmother who used to be a devout Buddhist. At the age of 11 I accepted Jesus into my heart and He has been walking with me since. I never thought I'd give my life to God and become a missionary...! Even though it is not always easy, I am so thankful for this wonderful privilege God has given me to follow Him with my husband.

I am fully Japanese, and I love my country. I want every Japanese person to know Jesus and I want to be a part of that work. I also especially love Tohoku area (the north eastern region of mainland Japan) where my family background is. I am very excited for what God has called us to do here, but I also believe our calling will involve other nations in the future. For a long time I have had a personal interest in Africa and the Middle East. I also have a strong desire to encourage those who are staggering in their faith- especially our brothers and sisters who face persecution. We all need each other! We are the body of Christ.

We have only just started- since getting married in May 2013. There is so much to learn! So much I don't know! But I am looking forward to what God has for us and where He will take us. Please journey with us through prayer- I would love to share in your walk as well :)

If you're reading our blog, I pray God's goodness will be known to you through us somehow. God is really good! All the time!
